Haiyan Li has been working in the pharmaceutical industry since 2009. haiyan started as an Associate Professor at the Shanghai Institute of Medica Meteria, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2009 and was promoted to Head of Formulation at \u4e9a\u8679\u533b\u836f in 2018. During this time, they were responsible for the design, research and development of formulations at preclinical and different clinical stages, according to NMPA/FDA, ICH guidelines and QbD concepts. In 2015, they took on a Postdoctoral Researcher position at Northwestern University, where they conducted research in Prof. Fraser Stoddart's lab. Most recently, they were appointed Head of CMC at Metis Pharmaceuticals Inc in 2020.

Haiyan Li received their Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutics from Shenyang Pharmaceutical University in 2009. haiyan had previously attended Shenyang Pharmaceutical University from 2001 to 2005, graduating with a Master's degree in Pharmaceutics.
