Ilektra Drygiannaki

Ilektra Drygiannaki, PhD, serves as Project Manager in the Environmental Solutions Division at METKA since April 2024. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Consultant 2 in Environmental Engineering at Ramboll from May 2023 to March 2024 and Senior Staff Professional at Geosyntec Consultants from August 2020 to May 2023. Ilektra began a career in academia as a Graduate Research Assistant at Texas Tech University, focusing on the assessment of stormwater metals on sediment recontamination, from September 2015 to August 2020. Earlier, experience includes a Graduate Student Research Assistant position at the Technical University of Crete, concentrating on bioremediation of oil spills, and an internship as a Chemical Engineer at the Municipal Water Supply Company of Rethymno, Greece in 2012. Ilektra Drygiannaki holds a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering and multiple degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering and Chemical Engineering from Texas Tech University, the Technical University of Crete, and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
