Jay Mitra is an experienced renewable energy professional currently serving as the Head of Project Development for Mytilineos Renewables in the UK and Ireland since August 2016, managing the acquisition and co-development of 527MW of solar PV projects across the region. In addition, Jay has been the Director of ZC Energy since December 2009, overseeing the development and construction of over 100MW of large-scale grid-connected solar photovoltaic projects in the UK. Previously, Jay founded Shurjo Energy Pvt. Ltd. in February 2004, a pioneering manufacturer of thin film solar PV panels in India, noted for producing the first Copper Indium Gallium diSelenide (CIGS) PV panels in the country. Jay holds an MBA from Imperial College London and a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Oxford.
