Mario Cortes

Mario Cortes has over 24 years of experience in the finance industry, currently serving as the Managing Director and Latin America Head of Credit & Trading at MetLife Investments Latin America since October 2006. In this role, Mario leads a team of 10 Senior Analysts managing more than USD 18 billion in investments with a focus on Fixed Income. Mario also oversees the Trading Desks in Chile and Mexico, guiding a team of 6 traders. Previously, Mario held various director-level positions at MetLife, overseeing significant investments and participating as a member of MetLife Chile's Real Estate Committee. Prior to joining MetLife, Mario worked at BankBoston as a Relationship Manager in Global Corporate Investment Banking, managing key corporate banking relationships in Chile. Mario holds a degree from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.
