Salil Soman

Salil Soman is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in software engineering and product development. Currently serving as AVP of Software Engineering at MetLife since March 2014, Salil manages the core disability claims platform and oversees messaging and service integration for internal APIs. Previous roles include leading the Retirement and Income Software Engineering team at MetLife and acting as Senior Manager of Software Development for Commercial Products at Railinc, which played a critical role in North American freight rail. Salil began the career at The Vanguard Group as a Project/Technical Lead, focusing on application architecture and legacy migration. Educational credentials include an MBA from Wake Forest University School of Business and two degrees in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
