Sarah-Jane Whitehead

Sarah-Jane Whitehead has over 25 years of work experience, primarily in health, safety, and wellbeing roles within the aviation industry. Sarah-Jane started their career in 1996 at Freedom Air, where they held various positions, including Flight Attendant, Trainer, Operations Controller, and Crew Controller. Sarah-Jane then moved on to Air New Zealand, where they worked as a Cabin Crew Development Manager for Zeal and the Domestic Airline. In 2013, they became the Health, Wellness, and Safety Strategy Manager, responsible for developing strategies to enhance the safety and wellbeing of Cabin Crew. Sarah-Jane also worked as a People Safety Business Partner, leading strategic safety initiatives and programs in partnership with senior leadership. In 2020, they joined ASB Bank as the Head of Health, Safety, and Wellbeing, overseeing the development, review, and implementation of the HSW strategy. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Health and Safety at Metlifecare.
