Alan Guinan

Alan Guinan, P.Eng, has a robust background in embedded software engineering and management, currently serving as the Manager of Embedded Software at MetOcean Telematics since February 2020. Previously, Alan worked at Ocean Sonics Ltd. from May 2009 to February 2020, progressing from embedded firmware engineer to engineering manager, overseeing software development, team mentoring, and cross-departmental communication. Early career experience includes a role as Assistant Engineer at Algoma Steel Inc. Alan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor’s degree in Plant Science from Nova Scotia Agricultural College.
