W. Jim Jewitt

Jim’s career spans the oil & gas, independent power, finance, and technology industries where he has applied executive management and financial experience to the development and growth of energy technology businesses.

Previous to MetOx, Mr. Jewitt worked in early-stage energy investments at El Paso Corporation, where he co-founded a power-focused private equity business, then at a biodiesel start-up where he was COO, and at a family office that focused on turnarounds, where he was a Managing Director. Earlier, he had been recruited from the oil industry to the independent power industry by ESBI Energy, where he rose to become CEO. ESBI traditionally served several money-center banks with engineering due diligence and project developers with development services; however, it pivoted to grow the owner's engineering and contract operations of power plants and transmission administration under his watch.
