Dan Marinellie

Dan Marinellie has over a decade of experience in the railroad industry, currently serving as Assistant Superintendent and Locomotive Engineer at Metra Commuter Rail since January 2014. In this role, Dan is responsible for operating passenger trains while ensuring compliance with federal and company regulations. Additionally, Dan serves as Road Foreman of Engines, overseeing teams in various districts and developing the skills of new locomotive engineers. Prior to joining Metra, Dan worked as a Class 1 freight locomotive engineer for Union Pacific Railroad from July 2007 to January 2014. Dan's educational background includes studies at Joliet Junior College and a high school diploma from Lockport Township High School.
