Martin Killarney

Martin Killarney, PMP, serves as a Senior Project Manager at Metra Commuter Rail, overseeing significant projects such as the $335.4 million procurement of the Stadler FLIRT BEMU fleet and the modernization of technical specifications for future rolling stock. Previously, Killarney held roles as Project Manager, initiating the $203.3 million Highliner II EMU mid-life overhaul program, and Associate Project Manager, establishing the $32.6 million Highliner I EMU overhaul program. Killarney also has experience as a Mechanical Engineer I and Mechanical Engineering Intern, with responsibilities ranging from developing technical specifications to leading overhauls. Prior internships at TTX Company and Amtrak provided foundational engineering experience. Killarney holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration in Management, both from the University of Illinois Chicago.
