David Urbanowicz

Vice President Of External Affairs & Business Development at Metrc

David Urbanowicz has worked in a variety of roles in the public and private sectors. David began their career in 2010 as an intern at Brown Lloyd James, where they were a Communications Intern. David then held internships at The James Group, Onassis Clothing LLC, and The New York Times. In 2012, they joined Capgemini as a Staff Consultant. In 2014, they joined IBB Consulting Group as a Consultant and then as a Consulting Manager. In 2016, they were an Agency Fellow at the Center for Education Policy Research at Harvard University. In 2015, they joined Comcast as a Director of External Affairs & Strategic Partnerships and then in 2019, they joined Metrc as Vice President of External Affairs & Business Development. In this role, they built a team of over 20 people and secured six government contracts valued at over $55 million. David also grew positive media mentions by over 450%, achieved the cannabis industry's first Great Places to Work certification, and engaged with over 300 state and federal government officials.

David Urbanowicz attended The Pingry School from 2004 to 2008, graduating with a High School Diploma. David then went on to attend New York University from 2008 to 2012, graduating with a Bachelor of Science with a Double Major in European Studies with Honors and Politics, and a Minor in Economics.
