Prior to joining the Metre team, Nicole had over ten years of academic research experience. She received her M.S. and Ph.D. in Materials Science at the University of California, Irvine, where she was both a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow and a U.S. Department of Education GANN Fellow, specializing in electrochemical biosensors.
During her postdoctoral research for Sandia National Laboratories, she worked on developing high-throughput analytical chemistry assays for molecular screening.
