Richard Shinkle

Richard Shinkle has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Richard started their career as a Detail Draftsman at We-Fab Steel Co. in 1979. Richard then served in the U.S. Army as an E/W Intercept Systems Repairer from 1981 to 1989. Afterwards, they worked as a Systems Administrator at TASC from 1989 to 1994 and as a Comm Systems Site Representative at SAIC from 1994 to 1995. In 1995, they became the Director of Customer Service & Support and MIS at Aurora Technolgies until 1998.

Richard then joined Oracle (formerly Sun Microsystems) in 1998 as a Global Systems Support Engineer. Richard later took on the role of CSM, New England Fidelity, where they managed 10 on-site SSEs and partner FE at three different data centers. In 2000, they became the Lead Reliability, Availability, and Scalability (RAS) Engineer, providing technical leadership for product support and resolving engineering issues for key customer accounts.
