Ayesha Jinat has been working in the scientific field since 2008. Ayesha began their career at Xenetic Biosciences PLC (formerly Lipoxen PLC) as a Research Scientist. In 2008, they also worked as a Visiting Scientist at the Department of Pharmaceutics, UCL School of Pharmacy, London WC1N 1AX, where they prepared inorganic nanoparticles by reverse microemulsion method and characterized nanoparticles using zeta master and zeta sizer. In 2017, they joined the Wellcome Sanger Institute as a Research Assistant. Since 2018, they have been working at Metrion Biosciences as a Cell Culture Scientist, where they are responsible for making stable cell lines by transfecting mammalian cells, maintaining healthy mother flasks of stable heterologous and immortalized cell lines, and performing transient transfection and transduction.
Ayesha Jinat obtained their MSc in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Dhaka in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Prior to that, they obtained their Honors in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the same department.
