Mr. Coutu has held various management positions within The Jean Coutu Group (PJC) Inc. for a period of more than 25 years, including that of President and Chief Executive Officer, from 2007 to 2018, and that of President, until May 31, 2019, and he assumed multiple responsibilities as a member of the various committees of the board of directors. In addition, he was Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association of Chain Drug Stores (CACDS) and served on the Board of Directors of Rite Aid Corporation. Mr. Coutu is a pharmacist by profession and holds a bachelor's degree in administration from McGill University and a bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Samford University. He is a member of the board of directors of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Samford University.
