Dr. Carlos Rodriguez Sanchez has over three decades of experience in engineering, primarily within the Metro de Madrid organization. Currently serving as the Head of the Engineering Department and CTO, Dr. Sanchez oversees extensive infrastructure and rolling stock engineering, focusing on a variety of systems including signalling, traction power, and telecommunications. Previously, as the CBTC Projects Leader, Dr. Sanchez directed key projects on multiple metro lines. Earlier roles encompassed leadership in Rolling Stock Engineering and Signalling & Telecommunications, ensuring the reliability and operation of critical transport systems. Dr. Sanchez's education includes multiple PhDs in Electrical, Electronic and Control System Engineering as well as Economics, alongside a Master's and Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering.
