John Yao

John Yao, PE, GE, PMP, has extensive experience in civil engineering and project management within the transportation sector. Currently serving as Executive Officer at Los Angeles Metro since August 2014, John Yao has held various leadership roles including Deputy Executive Officer, Project Management, Senior Director of Project Engineering, Director of Engineering, and Supervising Engineer. Prior to this, John Yao worked at Jacobs Associates as an Associate and held positions at CH2M HILL, URS Corporation, CH2M, and Hatch Mott MacDonald in engineering roles ranging from Associate Engineer to Jr. Tunnel Engineer. John Yao earned a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from UCLA and a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
