Mark Vangessel

Mark VanGessel is an experienced executive in the transportation sector, currently serving as Executive Officer at Los Angeles Metro since April 2002, where key projects include the Crenshaw Light Rail Project and roles as Deputy Executive Officer. Prior to this, Mark held the position of project manager for significant initiatives such as the I-405 Sepulveda Pass Widening Project and the Orange Line Bus Rapid Transit. Earlier in his career, Mark worked as an engineer at the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California from September 1991 to April 2002. Mark earned a degree in Civil/Ocean Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology from 1982 to 1986.
