Ron Tien

Ron Tien is an experienced professional in the field of civil engineering, specializing in overhead catenary systems and rail systems engineering. Since June 2013, Ron Tien has held multiple leadership roles at Los Angeles Metro, ascending from Director of Systems Engineering to Executive Officer, contributing significantly to transit systems. Prior to this, Ron Tien worked at Hatch Mott MacDonald as a Rail Systems Engineer from May 2007 to May 2013, focusing on the design of transit-related overhead catenary systems. Earlier career experience includes a role as an Engineer at Mass Electric Construction from 2003 to 2007, where Ron Tien managed field construction and engineering support on light rail projects across the United States. Ron Tien holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from San José State University, awarded in 2003.
