Sarah Cermak

Sarah Cermak, LCSW, currently serves as the District Manager of Advocacy Centers and Trauma-Informed Schools Team at Metro Nashville Public Schools, collaborating with the Student Support Services department to support a team of Trauma-Informed Specialists and Advocacy Center Coaches across 74 elementary schools. In addition, Sarah works as a Disruptive Event Management Consultant at R3 Continuum. Previously, Sarah held positions as an Assistant Professor of Practice and Coordinator of Field Services at the University of Tennessee College of Social Work, and as a Middle School Social Worker/Counselor at LEAD Public Schools. Additional experience includes roles as a Clinical Therapist at Focused Solutions, Founding School Social Worker at Ascend Charter Schools, Outpatient Therapist at St. Gabriel's System/DelStar Program, Family Support Specialist at Belmont Academy Charter School, and Family Based Clinician/Therapist at Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems. Sarah earned an MSW in Clinical Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology from Augustana College.
