Maria Collini has extensive work experience in the field of finance, particularly in the convention center industry. Maria began their career as the Director of Finance at the Scotiabank Convention Centre in 2013. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing operational transactions and financial reporting, as well as conducting business planning and analysis. Maria also worked closely with the executive team to determine strategic initiatives for the success of organizational goals. Maria Collini continued in this position until March 2022 when they transitioned to a new role as the Vice President of Finance at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
Maria Collini completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from Laurentian University/Université Laurentienne, specializing in Business Administration and Management, General. Prior to that, they obtained a CGA degree from the Certified General Accountants Association of Canada, with a focus on Accounting. Maria also holds a Business diploma in Financial Management from Niagara College.
