Phil Kershaw has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Phil has recently served as the General Manager of Transport Operations at UGL since March 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Commercial Director - Transport and Technology at UGL from May 2020 to March 2022.
In addition, Phil has held multiple roles at Canberra Metro Operations (CMET), including Chairman of the Board starting from January 2023, Director since May 2020, and Chairman of the Board from December 2020 to December 2021.
Phil has also served as a Director at Metro Trains Australia, Metro Trains Melbourne, Metro Trains Sydney, Torrens Connect, Auckland One Rail, and Adelaide Metro Operations Pty Ltd, starting in 2022.
Before their recent roles, Phil Kershaw had experience with the NSW Government, where they served as a Justice of the Peace since April 2014. Phil was responsible for witnessing statutory declarations, affidavits, and certifying copies of documents. Furthermore, they were a member of the Audit & Risk Committee Prequalified Members for the NSW Government Prequalification Scheme since November 2013.
Phil Kershaw has a strong education background in finance and accounting. Phil completed a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment at the Financial Services Institute of Australasia from 1994 to 1996. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Business in Accounting from Swinburne University of Technology, where they studied from 1985 to 1990. In 1993, Phil became a Chartered Accountant through the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, receiving this certification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
