Laura Matson is an experienced professional in transit information management and sustainability, currently serving as the Manager of Transit Information Data & Business Systems at Metro Transit since September 2016. In this role, Laura oversees real-time customer information for bus and rail services, leading projects aimed at enhancing customer engagement and improving data quality. Previously, Laura held various positions, including Program Manager and Project Manager at Metro Transit, Transit Information Services Coordinator, and Graduate Student Instructor roles at the University of Michigan. Additional experience includes serving as a Sustainability Fellow for the Michigan Green Communities Network and as the STARS Technical Developer for the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education. Laura holds a Master of Science in Urban Planning from the University of Michigan and a BA in Economics from Lewis & Clark College.
