Adria Johnson

Adria Johnson is the current President & CEO at Metro United Way. Adria has previously served as the Acting Director of the Department of Community Services and Revitalization for Louisville Metro Government and as the Commissioner for the Cabinet for Health and Family Services' Department for Community Based Services. In their role as Acting Director, Adria oversaw a department with a budget of more than $53 million dollars and approximately 300 employees. The Department of Community Services and Revitalization provides services to those in need in the community, with a focus on achieving self-sufficiency. As Commissioner, Adria was responsible for leadership and oversight of the Kentucky state agency charged with providing economic supports, eligibility determinations for Medicaid, child and adult protection services, foster care and adoption services, and an energy cost-assistance program. The Department for Community Based Services has a budget of approximately $1 billion and 4,600 staff. Under Adria's leadership, the agency's mission is to address and eliminate the prevalence of risk factors that contribute to increased adult and child abuse or neglect and reduced family resilience and self-sufficiency.

Adria Johnson has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Ball State University and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Louisville.
