Laura Tornes is the Senior Manager of Grant Development at Metro United Way. Laura has previous experience working as a Neighborhood Liaison with the Center For Neighborhoods and as a Citizen Experience Consultant with Louisville Metro Government. Laura also served as a Project Manager for the Bloomberg Philanthropies Innovation Delivery Team in Louisville. In this role, they were responsible for reducing vacancy and neighborhood blight in a targeted area of West Louisville. Laura is skilled in community outreach, meeting facilitation, problem solving, and data analysis. Laura is dedicated to creating healthy, sustainable neighborhoods for all residents.
Laura Tornes has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Religious Studies from The College of Wooster. Laura is currently pursuing a Transformation of Social and Political Conflict degree from the School for International Training.
