Stephanie Wood is an experienced crime analyst currently employed at Metro Vancouver Transit Police since November 2015, providing strategic and operational support in crime analysis related to transit systems and facilities. Stephanie's background includes roles as a video technician and analytical assistant within the same organization, as well as experience as a telecommunications officer with Burnaby RCMP and personnel analyst with Calgary Police Service. Stephanie holds a degree in Forensic Investigation, Crime and Intelligence Analysis from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts from Memorial University, specializing in English Language and Literature as well as Religious Studies.

Metro Vancouver Transit Police is the only police service in Canada that is dedicated to policing a transit system while aiding in the provision of justice and enforcement of the laws of British Columbia. Transit Police jurisdiction is the entire transportation service region, including 144 km of rail, 63 stations, over 1,500 buses, 200 bus routes, and one passenger ferry route – an area crossing twenty-one municipalities and one First Nation, served by a combination of seventeen independent police forces and RCMP detachments.
