MCC was established in August 1985, known then as Unibancard Corporation. In October 2003, ANZ entered into a joint venture with MBTC for the cards operation business of MCC. Since then, MCC has already tripled its cardholder base, re-launched its existing credit card products and also ventured into acquiring business, prepaid cards as well as insurance.
