Dawn James-Russell has a diverse work experience in various industries. Dawn James-Russell, started their career as an HR Business Partner at Baylor Scott & White Health in 2015, where they supported client groups and implemented HR strategies to enhance organization effectiveness. In 2016, they became a Senior HR Business Partner at Santander Consumer USA, responsible for implementing HR initiatives for risk, treasury, internal audit, finance, accounting, legal, and compliance. Dawn James-Russell, then worked as a TMNA HR Investigations Specialist at Toyota North America, conducting employee-involved investigations and providing advice on employee relations and performance management.

In 2019, Dawn joined Ernest Health as a Dual Director of Human Resources, overseeing organization development and ensuring compliance with employment legislation. Dawn James-Russell, also worked as a Senior Consultant at HR&Co., where they designed and executed talent enablement and culture strategies to enhance the employee lifecycle experience. At Scorpion, they served as the Director of People Relations & DE&I, creating programs and practices to foster positive relations and improve employee engagement.

Currently, Dawn is a Mental Health Provider at TimelyCare, where they continue to provide mental health services to clients. Dawn James-Russell, MS, MA, LMFT-I, LCDC-I has a diverse education history. Dawn James-Russell, holds a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling from Amberton University. Additionally, they have a Master of Science (MS) degree in Human Relations and Business from the same institution. Prior to their master's degrees, Dawn James-Russell obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Secondary English Education from Paul Quinn College.
