Russ Abercrombie

Russ Abercrombie is a seasoned Chief Information Officer with extensive experience in healthcare technology leadership. Currently serving as Chief Information Officer at Metrocare Services since October 2023, Abercrombie previously held the same role at LifeCare from December 2022 to November 2023 and at Heart to Heart Hospice from April 2016 to May 2022. Throughout these positions, Abercrombie has focused on enhancing patient care and achieving business objectives through strategic IT initiatives and investments while ensuring robust security measures. Prior experience includes serving as Regional Director of Information Technology for LifeCare Hospitals from November 2004 to April 2016, overseeing technology for a nationwide network of long-term acute care facilities. Abercrombie holds a Master of Science in Healthcare Information Technology from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Concordia College.
