Carla Sy has extensive work experience in the human resources field, with a focus on compensation and benefits. Carla began their career as the Head of Compensation and Benefits (HRD Director) at Metrobank in 2006. Prior to this, they served as the HRD Director at Citibank N.A., where they formulated and oversaw the implementation of marketing strategies to support sales objectives and improve sales support processes. Carla achieved significant accomplishments, such as creating an efficient rewards and recognition program that resulted in new business growth and launching new generation products that accounted for a substantial portion of the company's new business portfolio.
Before their time at Citibank, Carla worked as an HRD Manager at Union Bank of the Philippines from 2002 to 2003 and as an HRD Director at Banco de Oro from 2001 to 2002.
Carla Sy obtained their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) degree from Ateneo de Manila University, where they specialized in Economics. Carla attended this educational institution from 1980 to 1984. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Institut Pengembangan Manajemen Indonesia, completing their studies from 1985 to 1989.
