Tuhin Sarkar started their career in 1990 as a Junior Manager at Steel Authority of India Limited. From 1992 to 1994, they worked as a Product Executive at Foseco, where they successfully launched a new continuous casting refractory chemical, improving productivity and reducing cost of production in the steel industry. Tuhin then joined Lloyds Steel Industries Ltd as an Assistant Sales Manager, achieving a leading position in the Eastern India market and developing a network for rural marketing. In 1997, Tuhin became the Regional Manager at Praxair, overseeing strategic planning, sales, and business development for Cryogenic Industrial Gases in Western India, achieving a 25% annual sales growth. Currently, Tuhin is the Director (Marketing) at Metrod Holdings Berhad, responsible for strategic planning, sales, business development, and key account management. Tuhin supports the global operation by identifying new products, markets, and business opportunities.
Tuhin Sarkar completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Metallurgy from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, from 1986 to 1990. Tuhin then pursued their postgraduate degree, obtaining a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) with a focus on Marketing from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, from 1994 to 1997.
