Luis Carrasquero has a diverse work experience in various industries. Luis started their career as an intern at La Canada Presbyterian Church in 2010. Later, they worked as a cashier and cook at the University of California, Riverside from 2010 to 2012. During their time at the university, they also worked as an undergraduate research assistant and an academic success counselor. From 2012 to 2014, Luis worked as an engineering intern at Parsons Corporation. Luis then joined Metrolink in 2014 as a PTC Equipment Engineer I and later progressed to become the Manager of Onboard PTC Systems. From 2018 to 2021, they served as the Senior Manager of Train Control Onboard Systems. Currently, Luis holds the position of Deputy Chief Operating Officer at Metrolink, starting from May 2021.

Luis Carrasquero obtained their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Riverside, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Following this, they pursued further education and earned their Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California between 2013 and 2015.
