Chris Spencer

Chris Spencer serves as the Vice President and Project Director for the Yonge North Subway Extension at Metrolinx, overseeing a major transit project that will enhance commuting options in Toronto and surrounding regions. Prior to Metrolinx, Chris accumulated extensive experience at the Department for Transport in the UK, where responsibilities included directing multi-billion-pound service contracts in the Midlands and managing various high-stakes projects during challenging economic times, including the COVID-19 pandemic. Chris also worked at Network Rail, leading construction and project management initiatives for significant infrastructure enhancements along the Crossrail Anglia route. Chris holds an MSc in Project and Enterprise Management from UCL and a BSc (Hons) in Management Systems from the University of York.
