Elijah M. Bawuah

Elijah M. Bawuah is a seasoned professional in community engagement and urban planning with extensive experience across various organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor for Community Engagement at Metrolinx, Bawuah leads strategic initiatives for projects like the Scarborough Subway Extension and the Sheppard Extension study. As a co-founder of the Mentorship Initiative for Indigenous & Planners of Colour, Bawuah fosters connections between aspiring planners and industry professionals. Additional roles include Freelance Writer and Content Strategist at IGN Entertainment, Senior Public Consultation Coordinator for the City of Toronto, and Research & Planning Consultant at Jay Pitter Placemaking. Bawuah’s background is further complemented by a Master's degree in Environmental Studies - Planning and a Bachelor's degree in Urban Studies from York University.
