Lindsay Allison has extensive work experience in finance and management. Lindsay is currently serving as the Vice President of Capital Finance at Metrolinx since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked at York Region as the Head of Financing and Reserves from July 2017 to December 2021. Lindsay also held the position of Manager at the Regional Municipality of York from July 2014 to December 2021. Earlier in their career, they worked at various governmental organizations, including the Government of Ontario where they served as a Manager for the Ministry of Infrastructure and Ministry of Health from May 2007 to January 2013. Before that, Lindsay worked as a Senior Economist at the Ontario Public Service, focusing on Alternative Finance and Procurement projects. Lindsay began their professional journey as an Investment Analyst at Alliance Trust PLC from September 1999 to September 2003.
Lindsay Allison pursued higher education from several prestigious institutions. In 1998, they attended the University of Oxford, where they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Economic History. Lindsay then enrolled at McGill University from 1994 to 1998, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics. In 1996-1997, Lindsay took part in the Osaka University Student Exchange Program (OUSSEP), focusing on Japanese Studies. Later, they pursued a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree with a specialization in Defence at Queen's University from 2003 to 2004.
