Melissa McGugan

Melissa McGugan has extensive work experience in the legal field. Melissa currently serves as the Director of Legal Services at Metrolinx, a position they started in October 2020. Prior to this role, Melissa worked as Legal Counsel for the City of Mississauga from September 2012 to October 2020. Melissa also briefly worked as an Associate at Sherrard Kuzz LLP from April 2012 to August 2012. Before that, Melissa gained experience as Legal Counsel and Articling Student at the City of Mississauga from June 2009 to March 2012 and July 2008 to June 2009, respectively.

Melissa McGugan has an education history that includes a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the University of New Brunswick in 2007, with a focus on the National Committee of Accreditation (Canadian equivalency). Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from The University of Huddersfield from 2004 to 2006. Melissa also holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Western University, which was completed from 2000 to 2004.
