Sarah Armstrong has over 17 years of work experience in various legal and business roles. Currently, they are the Vice President of Legal Services at Metrolinx, where they are involved in the planning, building, operating, and connecting transportation in the Greater Golden Horseshoe area. Prior to this, they worked as a Lawyer at Axiom, specializing in providing tech-enabled legal, contracts, and compliance solutions for large enterprises. Sarah has also gained valuable experience at GE, where they served as a Strategic Account Executive and later as a Commercial Operations Manager, leading various teams and providing legal support to the business. Additionally, they worked as a Contracts Manager at GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy Canada Inc and as an Associate at McCarthy Tetrault. Through their diverse roles, Sarah has developed a strong background in both legal and business operations.

Sarah Armstrong's education history includes obtaining a Juris Doctor (JD) degree in Law from the University of Toronto from 2001 to 2004. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Theatre from York University from 1995 to 1998. Sarah also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Theatre from York University, which they achieved between 1991 and 1995. Additionally, they have acquired several certifications, including a Personal Track Safety certification from Metrolinx in 2023, a Workplace Investigations Training and Certificate Program from HRPA - Human Resources Professionals Association in 2019, an Osgoode Certificate in Negotiation from Osgoode Professional Development in 2018, and a Six Sigma Green Belt from GE in 2012.
