Salim Barbar

Salim Barbar has a range of work experience in the field of energy engineering and data science.

Salim worked as an Energy Intelligence Project Leader at METRON from April 2020. In this role, they managed an international team of 6 energy engineers and was responsible for training, creating management tools, managing workloads, and reporting to upper management. Salim also implemented SAAS for industrials, coordinating digitization, energy, and data science teams, conducting audits, mapping industrial uses and processes, and digitizing energy monitoring through interactive dashboards. Salim also provided energy consulting by analyzing utilities and processes.

Prior to that, Salim worked at SETEC Bâtiment from July 2017 to April 2020. As an Engineer, their responsibilities included energy efficiency missions such as energy audits, thermal simulation, and monitoring of energy performance. Salim also worked on maintenance and operation projects, conducting inventory and audits, estimating maintenance needs, and assisting clients with administrative documents.

From December 2018 to December 2019, Salim worked as an Energy Manager at Advizeo. Their role involved conducting site audits for semi-industrial clients, configuring smart devices, monitoring and analyzing reported data, and collaborating with data scientists to build KPIs and predictive models. Salim also provided recommendations for energy conservation measures.

Salim also has prior experience as an Energy Engineer at ACR Contractant General, where they conducted energy audits and worked on project files for construction projects. Salim also worked as an Assistant Engineer at Dar Al Handasah Nazih Taleb & Partners and had a temporary role as a Worker at Serge.

Salim Barbar pursued their education in the field of Engineering. Salim obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanics from Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, where they studied from 2010 to 2013. Later, they completed their Master's degree in Civil Engineering, specializing in Mechanics, Energy, and Acoustic at the same university from 2014 to 2016. Alongside their formal education, Salim also acquired additional certifications in Data Science. These certifications include "Data Visualization with Python," "Data Analysis with Python," "Databases and SQL for Data Science," "Python for Data Science and AI," "Open Source Tools for Data Science," and "Data Science Orientation." These certifications were obtained from various recognized platforms such as Coursera and cours between 2019 and 2020.
