Michael Drake has a diverse and extensive work experience in engineering roles. Michael currently holds the position of Vice President of Engineering at Metron Farnier - Smart Water Meters, a role that they started in March 2022. Michael served as a Systems Development Engineer for the Solid State Lighting group from June 2010 to September 2011, where they contributed to the development of LED drivers and ballasts for smart lighting platforms. Prior to this, they held the position of Systems Engineer from May 2003 to June 2010, overseeing systems level development within their group.

Michael's career began at SnowDroid Industries, Inc. as a Systems Design Engineer/Co-Founder from January 2002 to January 2003. Michael played a crucial role in the hardware development of AI-driven robotic proof-of-concept.

Before SnowDroid Industries, Michael worked at National Semiconductor as an Applications Engineer from March 2002 to July 2002, providing customer support for National's Geode x86 SoCs. Michael also served as a Systems Development Engineer from August 1999 to March 2002, contributing to hardware design and test for Geode x86 SoCs.

Michael's earliest work experience was as a Test Engineer at Cyrix in July 1999.
