James Mele

James Mele has held various leadership roles in the healthcare industry over their career. James is currently serving as the Vice President of Core Systems Operations at MetroPlusHealth since August 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Vice President of Business Solutions at Commonwealth Care Alliance from December 2019 to July 2022. James also served as the Senior Director of Claims Operations at Centene Corporation from March 2019 to October 2019. James has extensive experience in application development and held director roles at Healthfirst from May 2012 to April 2018 and at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of NJ from December 2008 to March 2012. Earlier in their career, they worked as the Director of CAS Implementation at The Reserve Funds from March 2008 to December 2008 and as an Assistant Director at 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East from October 2002 to March 2008. James began their career as a Senior Business Systems Analyst at Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, where they worked from March 1991 to October 2002.

James Mele has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Administration from Mount Saint Mary College, which they obtained between 1992 and 1997. James also holds an MBA in Business Administration from the same college, completed before 2003.
