Frederick de Joya

Frederick de Joya, FRM, currently serves as the Head of Market and Liquidity Risk at Metrobank, a position held since May 2025. Prior to this role, Frederick held several key positions in risk management, including Head of Market and Asset Liability Risk at Bank of Commerce from August 2019 to May 2025, and roles at Citi focusing on liquidity and corporate deposits, as well as risk management at ABN AMRO Clearing Bank N.V., Credit Suisse, and Maybank. Education includes a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematical Finance from Ateneo de Manila University and a Bachelor’s degree in the same field with a minor in Economics, also from Ateneo. Frederick began a career in risk advisory at Ernst & Young, showcasing a strong foundation in risk management across various financial institutions.
