Ed D. Light

Ed D. Light, MSc, CSP, is an experienced health, safety, and environmental professional with a robust background in academia and industry. Currently serving as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at both the Great Plains OSHA Education Center and Metropolitan Community College-Kansas City since December 2018, Light has a strong commitment to educating future professionals in safety training. Previously, from March 1994 to December 2018, Light held multiple leadership positions at Honeywell Aerospace, including Director of Health, Safety, Environment, and Facilities, where impactful safety processes were implemented globally for over 44,000 employees. Early career experience includes roles at AlliedSignal Inc., Shelter Insurance Companies, and General Motors, where expertise in safety engineering and hazard evaluation was developed. Light holds a Master of Science in Industrial Safety and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Safety and Criminal Justice from the University of Central Missouri.
