Jennifer O'Rourke

Director Of Community Relations at Metropolitan Council of the Twin Cities

Jennifer O'Rourke has a diverse work experience in government and public relations. Jennifer currently holds the position of Director of Government Relations at Ramsey County since October 2018. Prior to that, they worked at the Metropolitan Council of the Twin Cities as the Director of Community Relations starting from January 2015. From January 2014 to January 2015, O'Rourke served as the Deputy Chief of Staff in the Office of Governor Mark Dayton. Before that, they were the Chief of Staff at the Office of Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak from June 2012 to January 2014. O'Rourke's earlier experiences include being an Intergovernmental Relations Representative at the League of MN Cities from January 2001 to June 2012, and working as Senate staff for the Minnesota State Senate from April 1995 to December 2000.

Jennifer O'Rourke obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, where they attended from 1990 to 1994.
