Sam O'Connell

Sam O'Connell, AICP has extensive work experience in transportation planning and community relations. They have held various roles at different organizations, starting with the Metropolitan Council of the Twin Cities, where they currently serve as the Director of Community Relations. Prior to this, Sam worked at Metro Transit, where they held positions such as Assistant Director of Community Affairs, Senior Public Relations Manager for METRO Green and Blue Line Extensions, and Public Involvement Manager for METRO Green and Blue Line Extensions. Sam also served as a member, Vice Chair, and Chair of the Minnesota Design Team at Minnesota Deisgn Team. They worked as a Sr. Transit Planner at Dakota County and held the role of Minnesota Design Team Liaison at APA MN Chapter. Before that, Sam worked as a Sr. Transportation Planner/Public Involvement Specialist at URS Corporation and as a Principal Transportation Planner at the State of Minnesota.

Sam O'Connell, AICP holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
