Amanda Gallegos, LCPC, has a wide range of experience in behavioral health and compliance. Amanda most recently served as the Director of Behavioral Health at Metropolitan Family Services starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Compliance and Quality Improvement at Josselyn from 2022 to 2023. Amanda also has experience in an executive role, having served as the Executive Director at Cook County Sheriff's Department from 2019 to 2022. Before entering the leadership positions, Amanda worked as a United States Probation Officer at the United States Probation Office from 2016 to 2018, where they managed a caseload and enforced supervision conditions. Amanda also served as a Qualified Mental Health Professional at Stateville Correctional Center from 2015 to 2016. Amanda's earlier experience includes roles as an Education Committee Member at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana, a Reflective Practitioner Supervisor at The Family Institute at Northwestern University, and a Relief Counselor at Jewish Community Center. Additionally, they worked as a Qualified Mental Health Professional and Supervisor at Dixon Correctional Center and as a Postgraduate Fellow at The Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis.
Amanda Gallegos, LCPC, obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in General Honors from the University of Chicago in 2012. During their undergraduate studies, they majored in Psychology and also pursued a minor in Visual Arts. Subsequently, Amanda pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University, which they successfully completed in 2014.
