Melisa Puglisi

Safety Director at The Metropolitan Opera

Melisa Puglisi is the current Safety Director at The Metropolitan Opera. Melisa has over 20 years of experience in environmental health and safety.

Puglisi began their career as an Industrial Hygienist at the University of Washington in 1998. In 2000, they transferred to New York University, where they worked as an Environmental Specialist for five years. In 2005, they were promoted to Sr. Environmental Specialist.

In 2008, Puglisi became the Associate Director of EHS at NYU. Melisa held this position for three years before taking on their current role as Safety Director at The Metropolitan Opera.

Melisa Puglisi studied geography as an undergraduate at Montclair State University. Melisa then went on to get their Master of Public Health (MPH) in environmental health from Hunter College.

They work with and Dylan Erdelyi - Board Liaison & Paralegal to General Counsel. Their manager is Rebecca Wui, Deputy General Counsel.
