Dana Smith

Director, Human Resources, Federal Services at Metropolitan Security Services

Dana Smith serves Walden Security’s Federal Services Division as the Director of Human Resources. In her role, she supports more than 3,000 security officers and supervisors. The purview of her work includes 28 states and two U.S. territories, including seven of the 12 U.S. Judicial Circuits. As the Director of HR, Dana focuses on improving employee relations as well as processes and procedures – both internally and out in the field.

Dana began her career with Walden Security in 2012 as an HR Administrator until she was promoted to HR Manager. In that role, she played an integral part in transitioning the seven USMS Circuits, the Alabama National Guard and the Social Security Administration contracts. Throughout these transitions, Dana focused on organizing travel and onboarding. She also represented Walden Security at the dozens of job fairs hosted throughout this transitional phase all over the country.

Her devotion to supporting security officers and supervisors across the country and her team does not go unnoticed. Dana earned the Above and Beyond award in 2012 and 2015. In 2014, she earned the Spirit of Excellence award.
