Alycia Palmer is an experienced educator and researcher in chemistry and biochemistry. Currently serving as the Analytical Lab Instructor and Coordinator at Metropolitan State University of Denver since August 2018, Alycia previously held the position of Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Montgomery College from July 2014 to April 2018, where responsibilities included teaching general and introductory chemistry courses. In addition, Alycia taught Biochemistry for Health Sciences at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences from 2015 to 2017. Prior research experience includes a doctoral tenure at The Ohio State University, where Alycia investigated dirhodium paddlewheel complexes for potential applications in chemotherapy, and a summer internship at IBM focused on synthesizing and characterizing nanoparticles. Alycia holds a PhD and M.S. in Chemistry from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Math from Heidelberg University.
