David Schubert

David M Schubert is an experienced consultant and educator with a strong background in chemistry and borates. Currently serving as a consultant at AvidChem LLC since April 2017, Schubert advises various industries on the use and production of borates while also engaging in research collaborations. Since June 2017, Schubert has been affiliated faculty at Metropolitan State University of Denver, teaching a range of chemistry courses. Prior to these roles, Schubert spent over two decades at Rio Tinto in various leadership positions, including Principal Scientist and R&D Director, where significant contributions were made to new product development and innovation in borate applications. Schubert holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Colorado Boulder, a postdoctoral designation at UCLA in Boron Chemistry, and a BA in Chemistry with a Biology emphasis from Occidental College, supplemented by a professional designation in Business from UCLA.
