Micah Battson

Micah Battson, PhD, is an accomplished academic currently serving as an Associate Professor at Metropolitan State University of Denver since August 2019, following a role as an Assistant Professor and Affiliate Instructor in the same institution. With a robust background in nutrition and human health, Micah has experience teaching foundational courses, such as NUT 2040 - Introduction to Nutrition. Prior to this, Micah was a Vice President for Research Fellow at Colorado State University, participating in support programs for graduate research and interdisciplinary collaboration. Micah's research journey began with graduate assistant roles at both Colorado State University and the University of Colorado Boulder, culminating in a PhD in Food Science and Human Nutrition. Micah's educational credentials include a Master of Science in Integrative Physiology and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, supplemented by multiple associate degrees from Santa Barbara City College in various scientific disciplines.
